We founded Vegavero in 2014 in Berlin based on the idea to offer high-quality nutritional supplements at fair prices. At that time, we had become very interested in the topics of health, well-being, nutrition and exercise. We came to learn that the quality of products we were looking for just weren’t available. We wanted to change that! High-quality raw materials, our own unique recipes, strict quality control and exclusively vegan products - this is what Vegavero stands for.
Cinnamon is extracted from the bark of the tropical cinnamon tree and is one of the oldest spices in the world. Cinnamon was once considered more valuable than gold and is still very popular today. As numerous studies have unravelled the health benefits of cinnamon over the past few years, it also has become increasingly popular as a food supplement.
For our product we use the noble Ceylon cinnamon, also known as "real cinnamon" - not cheap cassia cinnamon. Compared to Cassia, Ceylon cinnamon contains significantly less coumarin, a substance that can cause liver damage in large quantities. Each of our capsules provides 250 mg Ceylon cinnamon extract which corresponds to 2000 mg Ceylon Cinnamon. With cinnamon being rich in phytonutrients, an extract is superior to powdered cinnamon, as it contains a higher concentration of those valuable substances.
While others use powders, our cinnamon capsules contains an extract, intensifying the concentration of bioactive substances (Polyphenols) that are beneficial for your health. This not only boosts effectiveness but also allows us to fit more into each capsule.
To determine the content of a capsule, multiply the extract amount in milligrams by its concentration ratio. For example, in a 5:1 extract, you would multiply 5 by the amount of extract in mg listed on the label. This calculation provides you with the plant power equivalent.
In our Ceylon cinnamon extract, we have 250 mg of a 5:1 extract, corresponding to 2500 mg of pure Ceylon cinnamon.
