    There good but it's back to the good old computer to make a GIF image if you remember the old computers like the commodore 16 then you will under stand that 16 x 24 pixels is not very good at displaying photos just very small images but you can add more to get a bigger and better image very well made but can turn out to be expensive

    Really cool Tiles from Twinkly, you can upload Gifs to the Twinkly App and display on your Twinkly Squares.
    Lots of Patterns and designs in the App . you can also Draw with your finger in the app and it will then be
    displayed on your tiles. Use the Twinkly Music Dongle, sold separately, your Tiles react to the music.
    You can add Text to the Squares but only with Apple devices this feature is not possible yet with the Android App. Although they are expensive nothing yet can match what they can do.

    If you run with just the basic starter pack (6 squares) any image or GIF is so pixelated to the point of being barely recognisable. You’ll need 12+ squares to see pictures with any sort or clarity. Basic patterns and colours are ok on smaller sets….but you’ll be forking out a decent wad of cash if you want a better quality image like the 16 squares shown in the video. Super easy to assemble, can upload your own GIFs & pictures, has a on/off timer function and mounts on a wall pretty easily. Pretty good quality…but you’re definitely paying for it. There’s a little bit of deceptive marketing by Twinkly as they only sell expansions in sets of three….so if you want a square picture, as opposed to a rectangle, you’ll find yourself with 1 or two “surplus” squares. Maximum amount of squares you can run off one powered square is 15 (not inc the powered square which makes 16 in total).
