I ordered this Insmart Oral Irrigator on Friday 17th May and was very pleased when it arrived a day earlier than expected on 20th May. It was to relace a Pecham version of the Irrigator. I had to dispose of it due to wands refusing to come out of the unit after use. After a few weeks this Insmart version had the same issues. I contacted support and they went thorough the removal procedure again, everything they told me I was doing. I was extra careful when removing the wand each time. Then suddenly the wand snapped off inside the machine head. Luckily I was able to remove the broken piece as shown in the picture attached and contacted them again, saying how unhappy I was with the unit. They told me that of they made it any easier to remove the wand it might lose its safety point and not supply the water correctly. After a few emails to and fro the company very kindly offered to refund my money. I can understand the health and safety issue with making the wand any easier to remove. But if the wands keeps snapping in the machine that too causes an health and safety issue. But I am pleased to say that Insmart dealt with my concern well and today I received a full refund. So I will thank the company for dealing with the concern quickly. The only thing is I now have to find a suitable replacement.

Just enough water in the tank and gives great pressure to get inbetween your teeth. Would recommend warmer water if your teeth are sensitive and using it in the shower if you find it’s too messy over the sink. But honestly a fab purchase. Super happy with it.

    To say I’ve got on well with this would be an untruth. I’ve struggled. This is mainly my fault. So far I’ve managed to spray water everywhere. This has included:

    Up my nose
    Over my shoulder
    Over my spectacles
    My hair
    My ear
    Everywhere around and over my sink unit.

    I say this is mainly my fault, and this is true. It takes 0.5 seconds to switch this off. I can make a spectacular mess with this in 0.5 seconds. I am persevering and there’s a learning curve. Maybe a knack. The knack seems to be to use this by feel. Not feel the need to see what I’m doing by keeping my gob open. The other knack is stance – you need to be able to keep this uprightish, your lips closed around a nozzle, then manage a controlled dribble of used jetted water from your mouth into the sink, simultaneously ensuring that none of the spray from the powerful nozzle(s) can jet out of your mouth. I’m still experimenting.

    The other thing I’ve learned is that this is best used with tepid water. My mains supply is really cold, and the cleaning process is far more comfortable when the water is warmer than this.

    So what’s it like? Well made, well designed and seems quite sturdy. The instructions are clear and the visual guide easy to understand. There’s a really good supply of differing nozzles. The water tank isn’t 100% waterproof when tilted beyond 45 degrees when full. This isn’t an issue – it doesn’t gush out, and you’re supposed to keep it upright in use and empty it after use. Changing the nozzles? Again simple and straightforward.

    There’s a carry bag supplied, which is adequate. It has a main pouch and one internal pocket. 2 internal pockets would have been better – one for the nozzles, another for the charge cable.

    There’s a bung that covers the charging port, this detaches, and its begging to get lost. Charging is easy and straightforward. The cable follows the latest vogue from China, USB A to a 2 pin handed connection. The connector goes into a dark void – it’s difficult to see the lug. It’s also slightly different to the connector for my razor – the difference is tiny – and I’ve had to ‘Dynotape’ a label to this so I know what its for – far from ideal.

    Selecting your power setting is simple and straightforward. Filling and emptying the tank is easy and straightforward and there are clear cleaning instructions.

    All good so far? Yes. Despite my ineptitude in spraying water everywhere, I’m seeing and feeling a difference in my mouth. But can I recommend this ? No. The instructions state “It is recommended to replace the new nozzle every three months or so. Otherwise the nozzle will become larger and unable to complete effective cleaning. It can even cause malfunctions.” The warranty on these nozzles is – 6 months. I contacted Insmart about a source of replacement nozzles. They don’t supply them. They didn’t recommend an alternative supplier, nor stipulate whether the nozzle attachment port complies with some sort of standard.

    At this point, I feel like I’ve been ‘sold a pup’. Something shipped half way around the globe, made of plastic, containing a Lithium ion battery, that has been cynically sold with a useful life of less than a year. That’s not good value, and the sort of disaster for the planet that needs avoiding – and which enlightened countries are legislating against.

    Firstly... this product does work. My dentist recommended I got one at the beginning of last year so I did. Noticeable improvements in reduction of stains so from a practical point of view...no complaints. However I noticed a rattling sound which I would assume is something that has broken inside....However the product still worked until the last few weeks when it lost pressure and is therefore useless. I guess you pay for what you get....However the warranty in the broken English manual seems to only cover the first month for quality issues....6 months for the nozzle and 1 year for the battery...so alas it's headed for the bin. Would still recommend but on the basis that it's durability is questionable.

    Upgraded from 3 to 5 stars....I discovered it was the nozzle that had stopped working...replaced it with one of the spares and it's now working. Very happy!

    amazing feature of all is that the battery life far exceeds any other products that I have used through
    out many years of using similar products. I am very meticulous about cleaning my teeth and this
    product meets & exceeds my expectations. The cordless aspect is very important in the ease of use
