For someone like me, who has a larger space to clean, this means I either need to charge it frequently or clean in stages, which can be inconvenient.

The hand set itself is lightweight and love that this shark has the bendy pole to get under low furniture but the real star of the show is the automatic cleaning system. Amazing! Mine came with two batteries so that has been plenty to help with the (belated) spring clean and moving of furniture and sucking up all the dust bunnies behind. However, two little niggles. If you accidently suck up a cat toy then it is a real fiddle to rescue it from the cylinder, and involves poking about with a chopstick or something. Also, I have found that the cylinder sometimes doesn't fully clean if there is a lot of large stuff in it, like dead plant leaves, as these can sometimes block the airways. However, fiddling around with the trusty chopstick sorts this. And hopefully now that I have this amazing vacuum my house won't get quite so littered with dead leaves and cat toys as cleaning will be a real dawdle! So the advantages definitely far exceed these little niggles.

Very powerful, good battery life and so lightweight and easy to use, definitely recommend and absolutely would buy again. Comes apart easily, so easy to clean, brushes come off to clean with no need to take apart, I had a blockage in the pipe, and dealt with it so fast because it comes apart into sections so find the one that’s blocked shove a stick or something down there and off you go, brilliant vacuum.

It is really lightweight which will be a huge selling point for some. The self emptying is a god send, we love it and it works really well. It copes very well with hair and fur too.
Why I dislike it - The suction is fine but it doesn't pick anything up on a backwards drag which is annoying. The battery is really poor. It is terrible on stairs as it doesn't come with an attachment which I feel for such a cheap part is a massive oversight from Shark. It also gets blocked a lot, and it just can't cope with anything slightly larger like a sweet wrapper.
The emptying is so useful we decided to keep it, but if you have a plug in Shark (they are incredible) I think it'll be disappointing. Wouldn't buy again.

We have had a shark hoover since they came out.
So we didn't hesitate to purchase the detect pro
When we first used it. it had a hot plastic smell we assumed it was because it was new so we contued to use it. The smell didn't seem to go away but it didn't get any worse. Then it started to smell of burning plastic the battery was only lasting 10 minutes and getting extremely hot it. The suction also stopped picking up. It was constantly getting blocked with just normal fluff, nothing that would actually block a normal cordless. These things happen every now and again things have faults Amazon said return it for a full refund. The blockages i suspect where probably because of the fault. Asside from the fault the build quality is very flimsy, very unlike Shark. The joint where the wand bends in half has a lot of excess play in the joint to the point It makes it hard to push especially on carpet's if it didn't have a shark badge I would have believed it was a budget hoover for around £100 like I said this is my 3rd Shark hoover and I do believe there one of the best. But the quality just isn't there it all feels cheap not solid like other shark cordless I hope this isn't the way shark are going.
