Firstly, this thing is a monster. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by the robustness of the machine and overall packaging. This shouldn't be a surprise to anybody though, since Shark are the best and most reliable manufacture of vacuums and cleaning equipment around. I've been using them for 10 or so years and I am always impressed by their quality.
I didn't want to buy one of these solely because I enjoy vacuuming and I knew it would take the fun away from using my Shark Stratos to clean up the days worth of cat-hair that gets ingrained into my carpets (it's a satisfying job to carry out OK). But at the same time, I've never owned a robot vacuum, nor one with a mop. So here I am!
I've used it 3/4 times since purchasing it on a Black Friday discount and it has worked flawlessly every time. The whole process to set it up took me all of 5 minutes, alongside about half an hour to get charged enough to do it's first mapping run. I had to do the mapping run twice, because for some reason it roamed into the bathroom from the hallway and decided it had done all it wanted to do. A second run and deletion of previous maps solved this and it mapped everywhere it need to go.
Setting it to go on the map is a piece of cake. Press Clean, select the type of clean you want and just let it do it's thing. I hoover daily, maybe every two days at a push, and I was impressed by just how much crap it picked up. Mostly cat hair mind you, but it did it's job.
The mop works wonders too. I set it to clean the kitchen tiles and I don't think they've ever got so clean. It won't clean your grout, but it gets your hard floors nice a spotless/streak free. It's mop pad cleaning and drying process is fascinating too. A feature I didn't think existed, but it does.
Thoroughly impressed, and would recommend to anybody living a single floor flat, apartment, bungalow!
